Microneedling (also known as collagen induction therapy) uses a special pen to glide across the skin to create thousands of tiny punctures. These minuscule pin pricks are an effective way to deliver serums and treatments, such as platelet-rich plasma (PRP), deep into your skin.

Microneedling also stimulates growth factors and encourages your body to form collagen and elastin. This enhances skin texture, improves sagginess and boosts the complexion, as well as softening fine lines and scars.

Is this treatment right for me?

This is one of Dr Gribbin’s favourite interventions. She uses either a needling pen or a needling stamp, depending on the patient’s concerns and age.

By stimulating the skin’s ability to regenerate and build collagen, microneedling is useful in patients with: fine lines & wrinkles; dull, dry skin; large pores; slight skin laxity; issues with texture and smoothness; and scarring.

For some patients, the benefits can be enhanced by adding a PRP serum or hyaluronic skin boosters with vitamins. It is not appropriate for everyone e.g., during an active skin infection or if the patient is taking certain medications.

How much does microneedling cost?

Prices start at £300 for stamp needling.
